Partner
Zachary F. Faris
Zack is a lifelong resident of Clermont County. He graduated from Batavia High School in 2004 before attending the University of North Carolina for undergrad (2008) and law school (2011). After graduating law school in the Top 10 in his class, Zack returned to Clermont County to begin practicing at Faris and Faris.
Zack handles a variety of issues at Faris and Faris, with a focus on providing top notch criminal defense. He has handled all types of criminal defenses cases in his career, including OVI (DUI), theft, domestic violence, drug possession and trafficking, sex offenses, and more. He also excels at representing parents in abuse/neglect/dependency cases involving Children’s Protective Services.
Zack has successfully represented clients in all courts in Clermont County - Common Pleas, Municipal, Domestic Relations, and Juvenile Court. Further, Zack has argued successfully in front of the Ohio Supreme Court, ultimately securing a dismissal of all charges for his client and helping to establish that it is not a violation of law, nor a valid basis for a stop by law enforcement, when a motorist touches, but does not cross over a white fog line on the edge of the road. This decision overturned the 12th District Court of Appeals decision and established precedent that will be important in many traffic and driving under the influence cases in Ohio moving forward. See State v. Turner, 2020 Ohio 6773.
Zack resides in Batavia with his family. He coaches high school basketball at Batavia High School and coaches his kids’ soccer and basketball teams in the Batavia Community Recreational League.
